AB Bank Rwanda Ltd Branch Manager Kimironko, Theophile Kuradusenge, has said their firm is determined to continue financing the small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to develop their businesses.
Kuradusenge made the remarks on Thursday in Kigali during AB Bank’s customer event. “We held this day to wish our clients a Marry Christmas, a happy new year 2017 and thanking them how they have been good partners with us. We will continue offering them quality financial services such that their businesses get expanded,” Kuradusenge said.
“AB Bank started its operations in our country in 2014, now has five branches in the country but we are planning to have more branches across the country such that our clients access our financial services conveniently. We value our clients without them we can’t succeed and having this customer event was a sign of giving them dignity,” he added.
Asked about the bank’s new innovations starting next year, Kuradusenge said they have put much emphasis on promoting a cashless economy, whereby currently they use SMS Banking services to enable their clients receive important information, about their accounts directly on their phones they get all debit/credit and balance alerts.
“In order to ease service delivery we are planning to digitalize all our financial services like the use of Mobile banking and automated teller machines (ATMs) by 2017,” Kuradusenge noted.

Agnes Mukantagara, a mother of three children, a trader and deals in cassava flour, said AB Bank eases ways of offering loans to its clients, stressing that it has no bureaucratic tendencies and accepts any kind of collateral securities be it home use furniture’s.
“Ever since I started working with this bank my life has changed, I got the first loan in June this year of worth Rwf 1.5 million and I injected it in my business. However, before that I had a stock of one tonne of cassava flour, now I am a supplier my stock has increased to about five tonnes due to the financial boost I acquired from AB Bank,” she said.
“Within this business I have bought a motorbike and I am able to meet family needs such as paying school fees for children and among others. I urge people to access banking institutions are there to finance peoples businesses and graduate from poverty,” Mukantagara said.
