Members of RPF Inkotanyi, yesterday on 27th May 2017, in Kimihurura Sector of Gasabo District voted His Excellency President of the Republic Paul Kagame as their candidate during the coming presidential elections in August 2017.

These elections are being held country wide as last weekend they took place in villages and cells and presently at the sector level.

Party members still hold a trust for His Excellency Paul Kagame who they say has achieved more during his leadership since the year 2000.

Francine Mukandoli, currently a member of Kimihurura sector’s women council in charge of Good Governance and also a member of women council-based on RPF-Inkotanyi in Rugando cell.

She was among the six candidates voted from the village and cell levels who decided to dedicate their voices to His Excellency Paul Kagame.

“Of course I was among candidates standing for the place of President of the Republic but you know that Paul Kagame achieved more during his leadership, first and fore most he gave us the country and particularly as a female Rwandan, he gave women a voice and opportunity for leadership, reason why I am standing today as a candidate for presidential elections, it is also the reason why I am dedicating my voices to him,” said Mukandoli.

Mukandoli said that it was the wish of citizens to promote her as a candidate.

“I was standing as the RPF’s candidate because it was requested by citizens from my village but I told them that I also have a candidate I want to give a voice, who is His excellency Paul Kagame, I was also elected at the cell level but I kept telling them that I am also promoting my candidate, I thank citizens that today have allowed me to give my voices to Paul Kagame,” Mukandoli said.

David Munyurangabo, also the citizen of Rugando cell in Kimihurura sector was among the six candidates voted from the village to the sector level and very mature among his counter-parts candidates.

Being the overall mature, his colleague-candidates offered him the place and he also recommended them to vote His Excellency Paul Kagame.

He told the voting team to write Paul Kagame on a voting paper instead of writing his names.

In the interview with media, Munyurangabo said that the reason to give his voices to His Excellency Paul Kagame is the big trust he built in Rwandans and many more achievements in socio-economic development of the country during his stay on leadership.

“It is the reason why we decided as members of RPF to vote him alone and we are ready to support him with everything he wants,” Munyurangabo noted.

The voting-committee was formed by 135 people who voted Paul Kagame to be the RPF candidate at 100 percent.
