The Prime Minister Anastase Murekezi has urged parents to engage their children and discuss with them the Rwandan history so that they can learn from good history and reject bad one.
PM was speaking during while officiating at unity and reconciliation assembly in Nyaruguru district on 23rd June 2017.
He hailed the president that the pledged to keep serving Rwandans through his good leadership geared towards unity and reconciliation adding he is the man who fulfills what he says.
He said that the unity and reconciliation assembly would help former and current leaders understand that teamwork, respect one another and exchange of peace building ideas can lead to unity and reconciliation which are the foundation of the sustainable development.
He also asked parents to ensure that families are the foundation of unity and reconciliation.
He said “Unity and reconciliation should have a root from our families, from schools so that our children have and love Rwandan values where unity and reconciliation are founded,”
Fidel Nyayisaba, the executive secretary of national Unity and reconciliation Commission (NURC) who talked about the unity and reconciliation process said that all that was achieved are a result of good leadership that promotes unity and reconciliation of Rwandans.
He explained that the assembly of unity and reconciliation would help continue in that unity and reconciliation path and ensure that what has been achieved in all levels especially in unity and reconciliation is maintained.
The opening of unity and reconciliation Assembly was attended by Nyaruguru members of the assembly and members of the Unity Club Intwararumuri.
