The author of these words “Book” is Dr. Gamariel Mbonimana who was born in Kamonyi District in 1980. He is married and awarded a PhD in Education Management. In 2018 t0 2022, he was a Member of Parliament, chamber of Deputies. Today is a lecturer and researcher from different universities.

The word The Power of keeping sober, is full of numberless choices which impact life forever. Nevertheless, it is not easy for an individual or group to make changes for good. This book “The Power of Keeping Sober” is like a light leading readers, enlightening their pathway that excludes no one while facing those impacts.

Having an eagle -eyed choice among beverages, is often understood abstinence from alcohol. But the author’s message for us here is however beyond just abstinence .it means a deliberate choice of how to live, a pragmatic resolution to free oneself from the lust of alcoholic beverages which causes the bad culture of drunkenness, while the discipline you need to impose to your personality is but tough. Generally, in the social as well as professional life where alcohol provisional is not an issue, being able to make a sober choice seems challenging

Sobriety is often meant as having no alcohol in blood as a result of often meant as having no alcohol in blood as a result of determination The thirst for alcoholic drink is everywhere amongst people. Therefore, you will come across wise excerpts that show special produce of the ability to choose differently from others.

In the first chapter entitled “My Testimony” we will see the life of Dr. Gamariel MBONIMANA concerning how he started taking alcohol, how he gave it up, and how he was impacted by those experiences This chapter indicates that man has personal secrets, and that it can be helpful politically, financially and socially if he divulges those secrets to others

The second chapter was entitled ‘’the Legacy of Discernment of His Excellency president Paul KAGAME of the Republic of Rwanda.’’ It introduces you into the world full of muse inspiration of good leadership. Through the approach of many models that His Excellency Paul KAGAME gives, you see the great role of keeping sober in the development of a person or in a community’s way of living.

His second and censures prove an undeniable truth that man’s choices of either drinks or plans inevitably impact the future of nation and peoples

The third chapter is entitled “The Message of His Excellency president Paul KAGAME for youth: putting Health and innovations First, it shows that the midpoint of his great message for the youth is to display good prompt change.

By careful examination of the concerns of healthy life and having perceptive thoughts, this chapter focuses on the way of living as displayed by history .it also displays the picture of the leadership of His Excellent President Paul KAGAME which empowers the youth to comply with citizen’s   code of life and capacitates them to make right concrete decisions so as to prepare a better future.

In the fourth chapter which is entitled ‘’smart choices ‘’ you will find the parallelism of what you do today, in comparison with your existing dreams’ follow-up. Dear reader, be aware that your today’s choices are somehow related to your future they mold it and shape your life’s destiny

The fifth chapter, walking in the Journey of keeping sober Advice for the youth’’ suggests the vision governing the youth’s wisdom makes them think of the fruit of making mature decision from early age, and shows them how to earn power, how to be longsuffering, as well as to prepare the future depending on the promises they made themselves

To clarify the above, it is as if you were the mayor of a given district, having promised your citizens that there would be no more tradition house in the district in two years. Then afterward, you find that promise difficult for you to fulfill because your citizens are not able to provide themselves with the roofing materials.

The decision u make may go hand with advice you give. For example, you may advise to grow the crops that are the most productive in terms of harvest and / money, and at the same time teach to make savings so that in two years you achieve your performance contract. You may also finance the poor in order to help them develop and catch up with the rest of the population.

That saving can make them change their drinking behavior and the amount of money spent in drunkenness. So, within two years promised you may get the change for good. Those are the promises referred to.

Through self-searching spotless relationships, and right thinking the youth may walk through a purposeful journey.

Finally, the conclusion connects both students and researchers. Think about the change this journey brings to or in you. ‘’The power of keeping Sober” goes beyond ink on paper .it is a symbol for change, a representation of expansion and   improvement of mindset. It is like evidence that each one of us has power to improve the future and leave memorable changes in the world.
