Kenya Premier League (KPL) champions Gor Mahia have not made any enquires over a possible return for Rwanda’s striker Meddie Kagere even with a number of off-the-record stories connecting him with a second move at the KPL giants.

The 29-year-old forward, assisted the Kenyan champions to win the 8th league title last season, enjoying a massively successful first season in the KPL finishing second best scorer on 13 goals.

However, he left last year when the club started it could not meet his demands and reports of his return have been rebuffed  by the club’s Secretary General Ronald Ngala rejecting knowledge of any possible return deal.

“There is no plan of returning the player at the club at the moment because we have the full quota of foreigners in the team. He did well for the club but there’s no plan” The Ngala told the Kenyan media.

When asked if he was contacted by the club Meddie Kagere replied “I can’t say anything now, I have many options but I have to wait until June. I always air out what I’m sure of, so I don’t what many to think I was building up stories.”

Kagere added, “Right now there is nothing on the table, the only deal I’m expecting is that of Egypt the team is El Gouna. The visa was given to me after the transfer window was closed so I have to wait till June.”

Just like what he says’ the player was in Egypt for the trails and any further details remain a clandestine until when the widow opens next month.  Kagere was also the former Police FC skipper.
