Huye based Mukura VS cruised to the 17th win of the season after seeing off Musanze FC by a 3-2 goals on Monday at Huye Stadium.
Mukura started the game on a positive note with full confidence since they’re facing a weaker side that is struggling among the third bottom placed.
Ndayishimiye Christophe opened the scoring for the Huye based side through an orchestrated superb squared ball from striker Hakizimana Muhadjiri, 34 minutes before the break.
Just minutes before the half time break, midfielder Yussuf Habimana made it two when he released a thunder shot to beat Musanze keeper Eric Kazumba.
The visitors Musanze were pinned on the wall; however they tried to come back into the game with Jean Pierre Maombi scoring a brace in the 75th and extra additional minutes of the game however his efforts did not salvage his side from losing all three points.
Meanwhile, in the other game played at Kicukiro, Police FC struck 3-1 to face off Amagaju as they leapfrog to fifth place on the table,
Danny Usengimana netted a brace to move his goal scoring tally to 14 toppling Muhadjiri and Diarra at the top chat. Imran Nshimiyimana scored the third before Innocent Ndizeye scored a consolation for Amagaju.
AS Kigali hammered Bugesera 4-0 to remain forth on the log, then SC Kiyovu continued to suffer the ninth defeat of the season when they lost 0-1 to Rwamagana FC and Gicumbi earned three points having beaten Sunrise FC 2-1.
Victory for Mukura moves them 53 points equal with Rayon Sports in the second place however Rayon have two games in hard and will battle AS Muhanga this Wednesday.
APR top the league with 58 points despite suffering 1-0 loss to Espoir over the weekend.
