This December, the world circular economy forum 2022 was held in Kigali. It is for the first time in Africa to host this forum. It has attended by five studios across Africa with the goal of promoting sustainability and economic growth with the title “From Africa to world”.
This forum was hosted by the BESTSELLER foundation. Where best strategies for the implementation were discussed for increasing partnership between companies and governments.
Kubik Coo Mike from Ethiopia joined forum, said that he is happy to be the attendee of this forum, which brought together the forward-looking thinkers and doers and presented the game changers in circular economy “The circular economy principles underlay what we are doing at Kubik and resonate with our ethos. It was great to be amongst peers in the industry showing the Africa is at the forefront of the circular economy game”.
Plorganic cosmetics, a company which sells cosmetic & personal care products, that operates in Kigali and Harare and was amongst the attendees. They are pleased to attend the forum which is attended by ministers, business leaders, police makers, experts, researchers and students. They all highlighted different problems and barriers for circular economy in general and profound way and also discussed solutions to these problems.
Dr. Jeanne d’Arc Mujawamariya, the Minister of environment, who was the Guest of honor, thanked all the attendees in world circular economy forum 2022 at five online studios across Africa for their impactful constructive contributions, and encouraged them to take home the recommendations for circular solution through all the best practice identified.
