Through the contribution to the government programs, PIRWA (Prosperity Impamba Rwanda) the Non-Government Organisation is involved in paying the health care insurance of people, fighting family conflicts, dealing with violence and teenage pregnancies and helping people to improve their lives through groups of development, savings and credits.

On Saturday, the end the month of January 2023, in Public Community Work “Umuganda” the Non-Governmental Organisation PIRWA, together with the people of Nyamabuye sector, Gahogo Cell, they have done land excavation of a site where three (3) school rooms will be built, to reduce classroom overcrowding at this school, Gahogo Primary School.

PIRWA has presented to the Executive Secretary of Nyamabuye Sector, a check of six hundred thousand Rwandan francs (600,000 Frw), to pay Community Based Health Insurance commonly called “Mutuelle de Sante” for 200 poor residents of Gahogo cell, Nyarucyamu I village .
More than 500 people participated in this Public Community Work, including the private sector (PSF) from the Nyamabuye sector and leaders in various institutions in the community, determined that the construction of this school will continue with the support of the national budget in partnership with Civil Society.

The Executive Secretary of the Nyamabuye Sector, Mr. Jean Claude Nshimiyimana, thanks the people of Nyamabuye for their participation in what is being done for them, and requesting them to continue to maintain the achievements and patriotism.
He also thanked the Director of PIRWA, Mrs. Marie Claire Ingabire, who led the team that joined the local people and promoted the well-being and health of the residents of Muhanga District.
“Your actions are related to the programs that are in our responsibility as the administration, and this is a big contribution that you have given us in changing the lives of the people. When a citizen has a good life and self-reliance, lives in a safe community free from conflict, there is no obstacle to development”, Jean Claude Nshimiyimana, the Executive Secretary of Nyamabuye Sector said.

After the Public Community work, the participants attended various presentations that included maintaining the culture of cleanliness everywhere, encouraging them to comply with the BNR’s instructions to use EBM methods, continuing to build the country by respecting the government programs.
The Programs Director of PIRWA, Mr. Murekeyimana Jean Claude, thanked the people of Nyamabuye for their hard work in the community, assuring them that in other activities to build a culture of peace for the purpose of sustainable development, they will join them as partners of the government programs aimed at improving the quality of life, good governance and community development.
PIRWA focuses on activities that change people’s lives in order to raise awareness of what is being done, especially to promote agriculture and animal husbandry in order to eradicate extreme poverty, to raise awareness among parents to take care of nutrition and the education of young children, with an emphasis on preventing malnutrition and consumption of broken works.

There is also cooperation with the Rwandan community to take care of and help young women who have given unintended birth and to raise awareness of them to avoid unplanned pregnancies and to avoid becoming a slave to the use of alcohol and other drugs abuses. It also helps families living in conflict to get out of it, because it is the source of extreme poverty, child vagrancy and school dropout.
The Organisation also puts effort into teaching adults to know how to read, write and count as well as teaching the people to avoid to use energy that destroys the environment. All these activities will be carried out in groups for self-development, saving and credits.
