After seven years of fighting to promote Kiswahili among Rwandans for faster integration in the East African Community through media lessons, public talks, University Lectures, Articles in newspapers and other publications and community sensitization, it is very glad to celebrate the birth of Rwanda Kiswahili Journalist Association (Chama Cha Wanahabari wa Kiswahili Rwanda “WAKIRWA”).

As the former USA President John Kennedy once said “Instead of asking what the government can do for you, ask yourself what you can do for your people”. This is a great challenge to our Kiswahili Journalists towards the promotion of Kiswahili in Rwanda in line with the adoption of Kiswahili as the fourth official language of Rwanda.
Prof Malonga a longtime University Communication skills lecturer and ACALAN Kiswahili Cross border Commissioner celebrates the WAKIRWA birthday and calls upon every Rwandan to bring his contribution towards this noble mission.
As the Kiswahili saying “ penye nia” “hapakosi njia”, where there is a will there is a way!
