The president of second division club SEC Academy has official requested for the Rwanda local football president Vincent Nzamwita to step down.
Munyadamutsa who was among the five aspirants who lost to Nzamwita for the similar position in December 2013, officially made his statement in a written document written in Kinyarwanda on Monday 20th, July and sent to the FERWAFA headquarters at Remera.
Munyadamutsa official cited a number of issues including: Malpractices and the fraudulent award of a tender for the construction of the football federation’s (Ferwafa) hotel, which led to the detention of Ferwafa secretary general Olivier Mulindahabi as well as an engineering consultant hired to study the tender.
The second issue raised in this document is the failure by the Nzamwita to produce an annual financial report since he was appointed as president in 5th April 2014.
“For the last two years,” the official letter reads, “You have failed to produce the report even during the General Assembly.” In 2014 we received US$500,000m while in 2015 received US$ 1,050,000 from FIFA.”
“In the GM held on 16, April, 2016, the reports showed that the women’s league received RWF 37,306,580m yet FIFA documents approved US$112,500 on top of US$300,000 which is reported to have been awarded to the national teams.”
The SEC president went on to write that, the U15 youth football league failed to take place at the time when it was supposed to be. FERWAFA needs to be transformed into a new body with a good image.
Panorama Sports has tried to get in touch with FERWAFA president Nzamwita but he did not pick up his mobile phone.
